Woking 3 - 2 Welling United

A 90th minute goal knocked Welling out of the FA Trophy after a pulsating cup tie at Kingfield on Saturday.

The Wings raced into a two-goal lead but were pegged back by the Nationwide Conference outfit in a game littered with yellow cards.

Welling took an 18th-minute lead when Rob Owen's header was fumbled into the net by keeper Shwan Jalal under the challenge of Che Stadhart.

Woking were fortunate not to be reduced to 10 men on 25 minutes when Ian Selley's two-footed lunge on Matt Bodkin was only punished with a booking.

The Wings went 2-0 ahead on the half hour when Bodkin sent Danny Kedwell free and the striker finished nicely for his 18th goal of the season.

But Woking were given a lifeline within 60 seconds when Chris Sharpling's right-foot volley was deflected past Welling keeper Jamie Turner.

The home side levelled on 64 minutes when a disputed corner was headed back for Craig McAllister to volley in at the far post.

Woking then missed a penalty when Jamie Day was harshly adjudged to have handled inside the area but Turner pushed away Selley's spot-kick.

The tie looked to be heading for a replay but Woking delivered a cruel blow wne defender Tom Hutchinson turned the ball home from close range in the last minute.
