Trott at the double in Canterbury

KENT seamer Ben Trott, who may yet be making his final appearance for the county, proved the Spitfires' star as Northtants lost two early wickets in today's totesport League game.

The day-night clash, which is live on Sky Sports, started well for Kent and Trott who reduced the Steelbacks to 52 for two after 14 overs.

The former Somerset seamer bowled Tim Roberts with his third ball then switched ends to remove Jeff Cook (23) with the first ball of a new stint.

Kent welcomed back Niall O'Brien for the match after his eye injury, but Amjad Khan and Martin Saggers both missed out.
