DOVER Athletic helped to erase the memory of losing their last two league matches by seeing off Ryman League Premier Division opponents Leyton in the Ryman League Cup third round on Tuesday.
Whites, who fielded a strong line-up, took the lead against the run of play after 13 minutes when defender Nick Humphrey climbed highest to head in James Rogers' free-kick.
Dover contiued to create chances and Tommy Tyne went close before substitute Walid Matata doubled the lead with a quarter of an hour left to send Clive Walker's side into the last 16.
Joining them there are Bromley who overcame fellow Ryman League Premier Division side Margate after extra-time at Hartsdown Park.
The visitors led at half-time after a Barry Gardner strike and a Colin Luckett spot-kick had overturned Adolf Amoako's opener for the home side.
Amoako's second equalised for Gate with 12 minutes to play, but Sam Wood made himself Bromley's hero in the first minute of extra-time.
However, Cray Wanderers are out after losing an eight-goal thriller at Leatherhead despite being ahead twice.
It was 2-2 after 90 minutes and Cray's David Hall thought he had forced penalties when he made it 3-3 with just seven minutes remaining, but Leatherhead had the last word with two further goals in the last five minutes.
