SITTINGBOURNE enjoyed the best result of any of the county's top teams on Tuesday night with a home win against Great Wakering Rovers in Southern League Division 1 East.
After Saturday's disappointing 4-2 defeat to Barton Rovers, Bourne were soon in control of this one when Bradley Spice gave them a 17th minute lead after superb work by Mitchell Sherwood.
The visitors equalised before the break through a Steve Butterworth penalty, but Sittingbourne weren't to be denied and Jon Neal wrapped up the points 15 minutes from time.
In the Ryman League Premier Division, Bromley were undone by a second half hat-trick from Braintree Town's James Baker.
The Lilywhite's had taken the lead before they were pegged back by Baker. The game looked to be heading for a draw until Baker struck twice more in injury time to steal the points for the home side.
In Ryman League Division 1, Cray Wanderers bounced back from Saturday's heavy home defeat against Lymington & New Milton with a good 3-0 win over Burgess Hill Town.
But Ramsgate had to settle for a share of the points after a 0-0 draw against Leatherhead at Southwood.
