Two Kent golfers will represent England in the biennial Jones Cup Invitational in the United States next month.

Matt Haines (Rochester & Cobham) and Tom Sherreard (Chart Hills) are in an eight-strong England team for the 54-hole tournament, which also features top amateurs from the US, Scotland and Wales, at the Ocean Forest Golf Club in Georgia, from February 6-8.

On his last visit to the US, Haines, 19, finished equal fifth in the Thunderbird Junior Championship while Sherreard, who starred in last year's Open Championship, finishing 19th, is already in America studying at Georgia State University.
