Valley Express service speeding towards record

CHARLTON report brisk business from Kent football fans wanting to take advantage of free travel on their Valley Express to Saturday's home game against Bolton.

Six coaches have been filled in Maidstone, four from Ashford and Thanet, three from Canterbury plus two from Whitstable and Herne Bay.

This season's new pick-up point on Sheppey has proved an early success with a double-decker bus being provided to cope with Wednesday's demand to see the Manchester United home game.

Under-18s wanting to see the Bolton match can get return travel and a ticket for just £5. Tickets for adults are priced at £20 adults, £10 over 60s and Under-21s and £5 Under-18s. For further details call 0871 226 1905 or see www.valleyexpress.co.uk

Valley Express co-ordinator Rick Everitt said: "The response from Kent football fans to the free travel offer has been fantastic and could set an early record for the number of fans carried on Valley Express."
