Veteran midfielder pushing for return

Lomas has missed six games through injury
Lomas has missed six games through injury

Swansea v Gillingham

GILLINGHAM midfielder Steve Lomas is pushing for a starting place in tonight's Coca-Cola League 1 clash at Swansea.

Lomas returned to full training this week after missing the previous six games with a hamstring injury.

Gills will need to decide whether to revert to a back four after playing five at the back in their last away game against Carlisle.

There is also competition for places up front with David Graham, Chris Dickson, Gary Mulligan and Delroy Facey all fighting for a starting place.

Gills coach Iffy Onuora said: "It's a nice headache to have. You want competition for places. We've got four good strikers raring to go and that can only be a good thing."
