Worcester 0 Welling 1
James Baker's first goal for the club ensured Welling picked up maximum points at Worcester on Saturday.
The Wings, as they did at Newport last week, dominated for long periods and thoroughly deserved the three points.
Playing downhill and with a strong wind in the first half, Welling were in complete control and should have led by more than Baker's goal just after the half hour.
Jerome Anderson twice went close early on, before Ryan Johnson was denied moments before the Wings took the lead.
A 32nd-minute corner was only half cleared and when the ball was returned into the box, Baker found himself in acres of room and produced a brilliant touch and a superb finish under the body of keeper Danny McDonnell.
The home side had only two efforts on target during the 90 minutes - the best one coming just before half-time but substitute Gary Walker shot weakly with just Jamie Turner to beat.
Welling showed all their defensive resolve after the break but could have easily scored more on the break themselves.
Lee Blackburn went clean through but fluffed his lines, as did Anderson, before Baker saw a second goal disallowed for offside with six minutes left.
Welling defender Tony Sinclair didn't put a foot wrong all afternoon and with the introduction of Loui Fazackerly, a signing from Bromley on Friday, Welling retained the ball well and successfully ran the clock down.
