Kent v Warwickshire
KENT will, weather permitting, hope to start their first four day game in Canterbury in a month today with the visit of Warwickshire for an LV Championship Division 1 game.
Severe weather warnings may yet frustrate the players, however, especially a Kent squad that in recent weeks have spent four days twiddling their thumbs in Worcester and then a further day, earlier this week, at Trent Bridge.
When the game does get underway Kent will again be without influential batsman Matthew Walker, who is struggling to shake off the calf strain he picked up at Leicester last weekend.
He will be replaced, as he was earlier in the season at Tunbridge Wells, by young South African-born all-rounder Neil Dexter in the only change to the side.
It will be Kent's 129th clash with Warwickshire but their first this season, having recorded a home win and a draw at Edgbaston in 2006.
It will be the 55th time the counties have clashed on Kent soil, Kent having won 28 to Warwickshire's 15.
The match is scheduled for 11am starts on all four days.
Kent team: Joe Denly, Rob Key, Andrew Hall, Martin van Jaarsveld, Darren Stevens, Geraint Jones, Neil Dexter, Ryan McLaren, Yasir Arafat, James Tredwell and Simon Cook.12th man:Alex Blake.
