STRIKER Rod Wallace, who gave Gillingham the lead at Ipswich on Saturday but broke down with a hamstring injury after 42 minutes, is out of tonight's game against Sunderland at Priestfield (Tony Hudd writes).

Tommy Johnson, who replaced him but was substituted three minutes from the end, could start. Ashby and Hills are expected to be fit to resume.

The league match against Sunderland has been re-scheduled because Sunderland were hit by international call-ups on the original date, Saturday October 11. It is the first of three consecutive home games for Gillingham.
