Ramsgate v Boreham Wood

Ramsgate host Boreham Wood in the Ryman League Premier Division on Tuesday night, three days after the original fixture was called off due to a frozen pitch.

Manager Jim Ward is expecting a tough challenge against the mid-table outfit, but is convinced his side have what it takes to secure the points.

“Without doubt Boreham Wood will give us a strong test,” he said. “They are a strong team with good players. However, we are going along well at the moment and we’ll look to get on the front foot and take the game to them.

“It’s a big week for us with two home games in the space of four days. If we can get six points and climb the table a bit suddenly everybody will be wondering what the problem was.”

Ward has a full squad to pick from, including goalkeeper Jamie Turner, who is expected to sign a deal through to the end of the season this week.
