CANTERBURY women produced a battling display to force a goalless draw away to Slazenger English Women's League defending champions Leicester on Saturday.
Both sides were without their international players which meant Canterbury made the trip minus Cathy Gilliat-Smith, Hayley Brown, Nat Seymour and player-coach Mel Clewlow.
Both sides struggled to create clear-cut openings before the break, but in the second half Leicester tried to force the pace and Canterbury keeper Becky Duggan had to make several good saves.
Maidstone drew 2-2 at Bournemouth in the National South Division.
Kirsty Hotson put them in front after nine minutes only for Kathryn James to level matters five minutes later.
Di Jeffrey then put Bournemouth ahead, before Hotson's second gave Maidstone a share of the points.
Despite taking an early lead through Sharon Davy, Sevenoaks were beaten 4-2 at home by Firebrands.
Sevenoaks' lead only lasted two minutes after Georgie Field scored a fifth-minute equaliser for the visitors.
Charlie Kendal scored after 32 minutes to put Sevenoaks back in front, but further goals from Emily Atkinson, Nia Hughes and Anna McNaught-Davis gave Firebrands victory.
Bexleyheath & Belvedere men swept to a 5-0 victory over Slough in the Harrod UK Men's Trophy, second round on Sunday.
The only other Kent side to triumph were Gore Court who were 5-3 winners over West Wilts.
There were home defeats for Burnt Ash, 3-2 by Disbury Northern, and Marden Russets, 3-1 against Jersey.
Ashford were also defeated, 4-2 at Wisbech Town. Old Bordenians and Tunbridge Wells received byes.
Canterbury were without a game at the weekend.
