Bromley v Welling
Welling manager Andy Ford is excited by the prosect of back to back derbies with rivals Bromley in Blue Square South.
The Wings visit Hayes Lane on Boxing Day (1pm) before hosting Bromley at Park View Road on New Year's Day (3pm). With both clubs chasing the play-off places, big crowds are anticipated during the festive period.
Ford said: "I'm looking forward to it. There's a good edge to local derbies, there's a bit more passion and the crowds are bigger.
"We've had a couple of good wins lately but we need to get three wins back to back in the league to really push into those play-off places, which is where I want to be."
Bromley lost 4-0 at Maidenhead last week but Ford pointed out that they are still one of the division's in-form sides.
"They are second in the form guide and the 4-0 didn't really reflect their last game as there were a couple of late goals," warned Ford. "I think both games will be really interesting."
Welling will include new signing Delando Smith in their squad after the winger's cameo appearance last weekend.
Ford added: "I felt we needed an extra body and he gives me that flexibility if there are any injuries.
"He can play left or right and has plenty of pace, which does interest me."
