Two second-half goals from substitute Moses Ademola fired Welling into the Kent Senior Cup final on Tuesday night and complete a miserable 24 hours for Jim Ward's Ramsgate.

Just a day after losing their appeal over a four-point deduction in the Ryman League, Ramsgate saw their last chance of silverware pass them by.

They led through Steffan Ball's 25-yard free-kick just before the half-hour but Ademola's brace and a Will Graham own goal sent Welling through to meet Bromley or Whitstable.

Referee Tony Mason somehow failed to give Welling a second-minute penalty when James Baker was barged over in the box before Charlie Sherigham blazed over from close range.

Ramsgate's goal came against the run of play but for the rest of the first half they gained the upper hand and could have had more as Tom Tsangarides was twice denied by keeper David Wilkinson.

Ball was lucky to escape with a caution after his stray arm took out Lee Blackburn just before half-time.

Welling boss Andy Ford introduced Ademola at the break and it had the desired effect midway through the second half when he cut inside and drilled in the equaliser.

Blackburn's excellent 77th-minute cross was turned into his own net by Graham and Ademola rounded off the win in the final minute with a stunning near-post finish.
