Maidenhead United 2 Welling 0
Play-off chasing Welling came crashing down to earth with a bump after losing at Maidenhead on Saturday.
The Wings started brightly in the first 10 minutes but thereafter it was a tale of woe and frustration for Andy Ford's side.
Harry Artur's early free-kick almost deceived the home keeper but it was not until Welling were 2-0 down - after two early second half goals - that they threatened the home side again.
Maidenhead's first real chance came two minutes into the second period when good work by James Hamsher saw Richard Pacquette play a one-two on the edge of the area. Although keeper Charlie Mitten saved his first attempt, Pacquette was on hand to force home the loose ball.
The home side doubled their lead 10 minutes into the second half when Welling defended like strangers and Pacquette was able to hook and turn the ball home.
Welling belatedly introduced top scorer Charlie Sheringham with 16 minutes left and they created a number of chances in the closing stages without ever looking likely to get back into the game.
Artur had an effort cleared off the line, Sheringham blazed over from close range and Moses Ademola's downward header was scrambled to safety.
Results elsewhere means Welling still have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs, although they will need maximum points in their next three games, all against teams at the wrong end of the table, to stand any chance.
Bromley 1 Bath City 1
Bromley took a point from their home clash against Bath City.
The Lillywhites went ahead two minutes after half-time when 17-year-old Harry Harding was on hand to score after Paul Evans had failed to hold Ali Chaaban's initial shot.
But the visitors earned a share of the spoils on 54 minutes when Bromley failed to clear and Mark Badman hooked in from inside the six yard box.
Warren McBean should have won the game for the hosts with 10 minutes to go but he smashed against the underside of the crossbar from 10 yards with only the keeper to beat.
