A change in diet could help Gillingham midfielder Curtis Weston with his recovery time after games, according to manager Mark Stimson.
Weston impressed in the centre of the park on Saturday, but Stimson believes the youngster has more to offer.
“Curtis is still someone who I think can do a lot more,” said Stimson. “Late on in the game he probably caught the eye because he got in behind.
“But I look at the whole picture as a midfield player and I’ve set him high standards.
“We’re just in the process of going through his diet. We’re talking about what he eats and how he recovers from games. For me, he doesn’t recover well enough.
“I think Friday and Saturday morning were probably the best he has eaten for a couple of weeks, and that might be the start of him performing better.”
