Myles Weston admits he still has plenty to learn.

The Gills wideman has been back starting matches under interim boss Peter Taylor.

And he’s hoping the current manager can keep on helping to improve his game.

He said: “I am always up for learning new things and the new manager has different ideas. I have liked everything we have done so far.

“It was a good boost to have won on Tuesday and we are playing much better as well, we are playing a lot more football, which I think the team likes and everyone is up for learning and learning the way he wants us to play. It is good.

“I feel I still have a lot to learn and he said he can help me with certain things. I am playing on the right, he is telling me what to do defensively as well, and I am happy.”

The Gills suffered another defeat on Saturday and Weston admits the changes Taylor is trying to implement will take time.

“It is not going to happen straight away, we have to work at things,” he said. “We haven’t even had a proper week with him yet and we have just done a couple of bits. Hopefully this week coming with the gaffer, he can do what he wants to do ahead of the Carlisle game. We have a whole week and the gaffer can put his plans into place.”
