WHITSTABLE won the Kent Messenger Trophy for the highest team average at the Kent Inter-Centre Tenpin Bowling Championships, at the AMF Bowl at Margate on Sunday.
Their score of 175.9 left them just clear of runners-up Bexleyheath, the defending champions, with 174.9, while Chatham were third with 169.
Tournament manager Jerry Moll presented the Kent Messenger Trophy to Whitstable team manager, Nathan Clark. Bexleyheath's team manager, Lesley Pateman, was presented with a runners up certificate.
