RICHARD MURRAY, chairman of Charlton plc, has insisted that Denmark international winger Dennis Rommedahl is staying with the club despite constant speculation linking him with a move back to former club PSV Eindhoven.
Rommedahl, who cost £2million from PSV last summer, seldom showed his best during a disappointing first season in the Premiership and there were rumours he had become unsettled.
But Mr Murray said: "What we've got to remember with Dennis is that players coming from abroad often take up to a year to settle so maybe we'll see a better Dennis Rommedahl next season. I certainly expect him to be here."
Meanwhile, striker Francis Jeffers, who like Rommedahl disappointed in his first season with the club, could be on the move to newly promoted Sunderland who have expressed an interest. He cost £2.5million from Arsenal in August.
