PENNOCK: Has called on supporters to get behind the side
PENNOCK: Has called on supporters to get behind the side

Welling v St Albans City

WELLING manager Adrian Pennock is looking to the club's supporters to become a 12th man for the visit of St Albans City to Park View Road on Saturday.

He said: "The fans were brilliant at Thurrock, they were noisy and if it wasn't for them then it would have been like a morgue out there."

Lew Watts (shoulder) is Wings' only injury concern ahead of the game, while Danny Slatter is still suspended.

Pennock is still looking to add to his squad but admits he is finding it difficult to bring the right men in. He has vowed not to break the bank and will continue to work with a threadbare squad.

He said: "I nearly got a centre forward but he wanted to take home £350 and I can't compete with that. It has to be the right person at the right money and with the right character."
