PENNOCK: "It's probably good that we get an early chance to bounce back"

Welling United v Farnborough

WELLING return to Conference South action on tonight with in-form Farnborough the visitors to Park View Road.

The Wings stayed in second spot in the league table despite being in FA Cup action over the weekend with Lewes taking over as leaders.

Manager Adrian Pennock has warned his squad not to use tired legs as an excuse with the game coming just two days after the Huddersfield FA Cup clash.

Pennock said: "This game has come around quickly but it's probably good that we get an early chance to bounce back. Everyone will be ready for it.

"Farnborough are flying at the moment and are one of the favourites to go up. It will be a good yardstick for us and there are no excuses about tired legs because we would have trained anyway."

Pennock welcomes back Mark Green, who was cup-tied on Sunday, but is without long-term injury victims James Pinnock and Lee Gledhill.
