Wings maintain attacking policy

Welling boss Andy Ford will field a three-man attack

Worcester v Welling

Goalshy Welling will maintain their policy of playing three forwards when they travel to Worcester on Saturday in Blue Square South.

Wings boss Andy Ford, who has seen his side score just once in their last three league games, will play Jerome Anderson, Charlie Sheringham and James Baker in a three-man attack.

"They are three good players and I wanted a system that fitted them all in," said Ford.

"It's a good mix, we've got the pace of Jerome, James is a target-man and Charlie is a different type of player as well.

"It can make us a little vulnerable but it's a good way to go."

Ford, who is hoping to make one new signing in time for the club, has already drafted in former Thurrock midfielder John Docker on a month-long trial.

The Wings boss added: "I'm just having a look at him, he will be involved on the bench and we'll see how it goes."

Dorian Smith may need an operation on a cartilage injury while Orlando Smith is expected to feature for the reserves next week.
