STEVE Perkins is winning his battle for FA Cup fitness ahead of Welling's FA Cup tie at League 1 Huddersfield on Sunday.

Perkins has been sidelined for two weeks with a knee injury picked up in the league win at home to Carshalton. But the 30–year-old was hopeful of training this week and declaring himself available.

Wings boss Adrian Pennock stated: "I’m going to give Steve Perkins every chance because he is a big player for us."

James Pinnock is ruled out but Lee Gledhill returns from suspension.
