WELLING general manager Graham Hobbins has re-iterated his promise not to put the club’s long-term future at risk.
The Wings have already missed out on signing Andy Drury, Jay Saunders, Jimmy Jackson and former striker Paul Booth, because other clubs are offering more money.
But Hobbins insisted that the club will not be drawn into a bidding war and issued a warning to other teams who are prepared to splash the cash.
Hobbins said: "We’re at a club that makes sure that the ground is fit and ready should we get into a position to go up.
"We want to run it as professionally as we can. We’re ambitious but we also want the club to be here in five years."
