Michael Morrison and Yann Kermorgant scored against their old club as Charlton beat 10-man Leicester 2-1 for their first Championship win of the season on Saturday.

Defender Morrison headed home Dale Stephens' corner to give the Addicks the lead on 27 minutes.

Unbeaten Leicester had Matty James sent off seven minutes into the second half.

He was shown a second yellow card for his protests after referee Darren Deadman turned down a penalty appeal.

Charlton doubled their lead on 59 minutes through Kermorgant's header from a Johnnie Jackson corner.

Leicester pulled a goal back three minutes later with Danny Drinkwater on target after Dorian Dervite's clearance from a David Nugent cross reached the edge of the box.

Foxes keeper Kasper Schmeichel made a superb double save from Kermorgant and Simon Church to deny Charlton a third.

The win moves Charlton up to 17th in the early Championship table.
