Baby Tony's mum demands tougher sentencing for child abusers

The adoptive mum of a Maidstone toddler who almost died from injuries inflicted on him by his birth parents is calling for tougher sentences for child cruelty.Paula Hudgell's three-year-old son Tony was a newborn when his legs were broken by Jody Simpson and Antony Smith.Earlier this year they were sentenced to 10 years in prison at Maidstone Crown Court.
