Drivers could be charged up to 50 pounds for going through Maidstone under new plans put forward in the county town. The controversial congestion charge would see lorries, taxis and buses pay a daily fee as the council looks to tackle high levels of pollution.It comes after Upper Stone street in the town's been revealed as one of the worst places in the country for air quality.
