A huge boost to the East of Kent - that's what's hoped a new 12 million pound station in Thanet will provide.North Thanet MP Sir Roger Gale's welcomed the announcement made by the government this morning which will see the high speed station created near Cliffsend. But there are concerns the plans are bad for the environment and will draw people away from Kent and into the capital.
