Plans are in the pipeline to build 83 homes on a business park in Maidstone.
An outline application to replace buildings next to Maidstone West train station on Tonbridge Road with houses and flats has been lodged.
The 1.88acre site is flanked by Hearth & Fires and American Golf and contains several retail units, storage buildings and vehicle servicing centres.

Maidstone Borough Council’s current Local Plan allocates it as employment use only, however the recent call for sites did identify the plot as suitable for up to 60 homes.
The proposal, which can be viewed in full here, does not propose any business space.
Corbens Place, as it will be known, is billed by applicant Corbens Place Ltd as ideally located for commuters.
Residents in neighbouring Vine Mews have complained it will add to existing traffic problems and significantly overshadow their properties.
Paul Leeves said existing buildings overlooking his property are only two storeys, while the proposed flats are up to six storeys and would lead to a complete loss of privacy.
A decision on the outline proposal is expected from March.
Julie Maloney, a director at Hearth & Fires which moved to the former Vaughans of Maidstone building in August, confirmed the application in its current form would mean the store would have to relocate.
She added: “There is no plan to move in the near future and as far as I am aware we will be here until the end of our three-year lease.
“We were always aware this might happen. The main impact will be on our customers and we would look for somewhere not too far away."
American Golf has been approached for comment.
