You may not see many of them in the wilds of the Weald, but a camel will be among the stars appearing in a Christmas production this weekend.
A Christmas Camel will be staged on Horsmonden Village Green on Saturday morning, and will feature more than 100 villagers as well as local livestock.
Sheep, a donkey and the camel - possibly not as local as the others - will join villagers to stage the Christmas story on the Green, watched by what organisers believe could be more than 1,000 people.
A stable will be built on the Green by local carpenters for the production.
The show is being put on by the parish church and has been held on a smaller scale in previous years. The scene will begin to be set at 9.30am, with the nativity starting from 10.30am.
