An accountancy firm's window was reportedly smashed when a group of young people shot at the building with an air rifle.
A staff member at Levicks Chartered Accountants in London Road reported that a gang of around eight youths targeted the building at 10.30am today.
Police attended, and have been approached for information.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
Kent Police was called to the report of criminal damage just before 11am.
A spokesman said: "It was reported that a window was struck by an object and broken. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
