Air ambulance called to bike crash

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with chest injuries after an accident in Maidstone.

Emergency services including the Kent Air Ambulance were called at 5.30pm on Thursday, August 30, to Penenden Heath Road, where a man in his 50s had been injured in a motorbike crash.

A doctor and critical care paramedic from the air ambulance treated the man at the scene, and the patient was taken by land ambulance to Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

No other vehicles were involved, and the road was closed for an hour while emergency services attended.
