An air ambulance has landed on a school field.

Witnesses reported seeing a helicopter arrive in the grounds of Madginford Primary School, in Bearsted, near Maidstone.

Kent Police confirmed the aircraft was responding to a medical incident at a private address in Merton Road at around 8.45am, close to the school in Egremount Road.

The school closed for the Christmas holidays yesterday.

Another witness said no one got on or off the aircraft.

The ambulance service has been approached for comment.
