The rousing sounds of Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory will ring out across Maidstone tomorrow at the Proms in the Park.

The annual event at Whatman Park takes place on Saturday, May 23.

Families and prom goers are invited to bring along picnics from 4pm. The concert starts at 7.30pm.

As well as the usual prom favourites current West End show Oliver!, Queen and Abba medleys will give the audience a chance to join in with Phantom of the Opera star, Jill Washington.

The evening will be finish with fireworks at around 9.15pm.
