An alleyway next to a supermarket has been cordoned off by police.

The path in Bridgeside Mews, Tovil, near Maidstone, is being guarded by officers.

The route leads through to the Lidl in Farleigh Hill.

A passerby noted seeing police officers stationed at each end of the alleyway with the area taped off to the public.

An unmarked police car is also there.

Police have been contacted for more information.
