Thieves escaped with a 17.5ft boat after burgling a farm during heavy snowfall.

The Warrior 175 fishing vessel, named Cattfish and weighing almost a tonne, was taken from the property on Wierton Hill, Boughton Monchelsea, between 10pm on Thursday and 3am Friday.

At the time of the break-in it had been snowing heavily, leading to treacherous conditions on many of the roads in the area.

Cattfish was stolen on Thursday night

A Kent Police spokesman said the force are investigating the theft.

He added: "It is described as white with a blue stripe and had a black tilt cover. Anyone with information about the theft or the whereabouts of the boat is asked to contact Kent Police on 101 quoting crime ref: YY/1145/17 or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
