TWO men were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the car they were travelling in crashed into the boundary wall of a public house.
The men were in a silver Ford Fiesta when the incident happened outside the Eagle pub in Upper Stone Street, Maidstone, shortly after 5pm on Sunday.
Firefighters were called to the scene and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the victims.
Police spokesman Dan Clegg said: "The car was heading away from the town. For reasons yet unknown, it appears that the car left the road, colliding with the boundary wall of a local pub."
The 19-year-old driver, from the Maidstone area, and the passenger, believed to be from Sittingbourne, were taken to Maidstone Hospital.
The road remained closed for five hours while police carried out a full examination of the scene.
