The recent fine spell looks like giving way to more changeable weather over the weekend so, if you’re off to Wimbledon, take an umbrella.

Meanwhile, we had snow at Easter and storms in April - but what does the rest of the year have in store?

Don't miss this Friday's Kent Messenger for Lester's six-month prediction - and find out when the sun will be shining, and when a tornado may hit.

Lester's forecast for this week

Friday

A day of variable cloud, local showers, with some nice sunny spells at times. It will continue breezy from the south west. Temp 20C (68f).

Saturday

A rather overcast day with a few showers, although we will all have some sunshine at times. Winds lighter than on recent days at 10mph. Temp 20C (68F).

Sunday

A day of sunshine and showers. It will feel quite humid. There will be the odd beefy shower with an outside chance of thunder. Temp 19C (66F) but up to 21C (70F) if you get more sunshine. A gusty westerly wind

Monday

Another day of sunshine and showers, although some places will miss them. Temp 17-19C (63-66F)

Tuesday-Thursday

High pressure will build which will warm southerly winds with largely blue skies and lots of sunshine. Temp will range from 21C (70F) to 25C (77F).
