Drivers faced delays in a town centre after a crash involving two cars.

The accident in Mill Street, Maidstone, was reported at around 1pm and caused congestion throughout the one-way system.

Police were called at 12.25pm to a two-car collision in Palace Avenue, which leads on from Mill Street.

The A229 Bishops Way southbound was partially blocked as a result.

Cars were also tailing back to Staceys Street, near Gallagher Stadium.

Minor injuries were reported and arrangements were made to recover the vehicles.

Traffic was reported to have cleared at around 2.14pm.
