Police, paramedics and air ambulance crews were called to a busy gym after someone suffered a suspected heart attack.

The helicopter was scrambled to the Kings Hill area for the second time in two days, after yesterday being called to help a teenager who had been involved in a fight.

Pictures on social media showed ambulances and police gathered outside the gym.

Both the police and ambulance service have been contacted for comment.

A spokesman for David Lloyd Clubs said: "We take the health and safety of our members very seriously.

"We can confirm that one of our members at our Kings Hill club collapsed at the club this evening. CPR and the AED was immediately administered by the Club team, and the emergency services were called. The member was subsequently taken to hospital by air ambulance.

"All of our clubs have AED equipment installed and we ensure that there is a team member on duty at all times who is trained to administer it. We would like to reassure our members that incidents of this nature are very rare but our teams are fully trained to deal with them quickly and effectively."
