Air ambulance lands at field in Park Wood, Maidstone

An air ambulance has landed on a sports field close to a children's school and playground.

The helicopter was spotted on the rugby pitch in Bicknor Road, Park Wood, Maidstone, at around 11.45am.

The air ambulance has landed in a field in Park Wood, Maidstone

It landed on the field opposite Holy Family Catholic Primary School and close to a block of flats in Park Wood Walk.

There were no other emergency services spotted at the scene.

One passerby said: "I was just walking along when I saw it land on the field opposite my house.

"I've not seen much else going on."

Another man, who didn't want to be named, added: "The helicopter landed, stayed there for a while, and then left without anyone getting out."

The air ambulance landed in Park Wood, Maidstone, at around 11.45am (54792882)

Police, the ambulance service and air ambulance has been contacted for more information.
