Police want to hear from people who recognise this passenger

Police have released images of a man they are hunting, after a schoolgirl was approached on a bus in Tonbridge.

Kent Police received a call on Tuesday, October 22 relating to an incident in Tonbridge High Street, reported to have happened the previous evening.

A 14-year-old girl said a man had been speaking to her at a bus stop and continued to do so after they both boarded the same bus, but the conversation became sexual in nature.

Police have now released two images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, including one CCTV image and two captured by the alleged victim.

DC Jeremy Taylor from the Reactive Crime Team at Tonbridge Police Station said: "The victim and the offender both boarded the number 77 bus and rode it as far as Hadlow, where the girl alighted.

"The man has reportedly remained on the bus heading towards West Malling or Maidstone."

A 61-year-old man from Maidstone was initially arrested on October 24 on suspicion of inciting sexual activity with a child but released without charge.

DC Taylor added: "Having exhausted our initial lines of enquiry, we are now seeking the public’s help and would welcome any information they might have about the man pictured.
