Armed police were seen in a residential street as Kent Police officers helped another force in an investigation.

The officers were seen in Hartnup Street, Maidstone at just after 6pm this evening.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police officers attended a property in Hartnup Street during the evening of Wednesday 25 July 2018 as part of enquiries being carried out to assist another police force."

It's believed South Wales officers were leading the investigation.
