A woman rescued by firefighters during a blaze in Maidstone has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

The fire broke out in a bungalow in College Avenue just after 8.30pm on Tuesday, December 27.

The woman, who is 40, was handed over to ambulance crews and the fire was put out with a hose reel jet.

She has since been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries, until 16 February 2017.
