Police attend shoplifting incident at Boots on King Street, Maidstone

A 25-year-old man has been arrested after designer sunglasses and sun cream were stolen from a shop in Maidstone.

Five police cars arrived outside Boots on King Street just before 1.30pm.

A security guard from One Maidstone was seen running through the store 10 minute before police arrived.

One Maidstone said: "Our BID Ambassador was present for a shoplifting and assault incident in Wilkinsons. They made their way to the scene through Boots when they were requested as back up."

The suspects remains in custody.
