Police are calling on anyone with information about three boats taken from a riverside allotment in Tonbridge to come forward.
A rowing boat and two kayaks, one yellow and one red, were taken from the allotment in Barden Park Road sometime between lunchtime on Tuesday, June 4, and Thursday, June 6.
A green eight-foot-long rowing boat was taken after the rope tying it to a post was cut, along with two kayaks which were under a tarpaulin.
The boat had a green hull and had an off-white coloured interior.
Sgt Mark Ginsberg from the Tonbridge and Malling Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “The boats are not very valuable and it may be they were taken by someone along the river and then dumped. If that is the case we are hoping someone, perhaps a walker, will have spotted them and will contact police.
“Alternatively, if someone is offered items like these for sale, or knows someone who has recently acquired them, their information may also prove helpful.”
Kent Police can be contacted on 101, quoting crime reference number YY/10980/13.
This has also prompted police to remind allotment holders and gardeners to make sure their tools and sheds are secure.
