The body of a 60-year-old man who went missing yesterday has been found.

Mark Ransley was found in Mote Park, Maidstone, at 7pm today and confirmed dead at the scene.

Mr Ransley was last seen in London Road, Birling, near West Malling at around 8am yesterday.

A police spokesperson said: “The body of a man was found in Mote Park, Maidstone. He was confirmed deceased at the scene.

“Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of a 60-year-old man who had been reported missing from West Malling have been informed.”
