Two teenage boys tried to mug a woman and steal her handbag.

Police are appealing for information after the attack on the 38-year-old victim in Shepway on Monday, October 26 at around 10.20pm.

The victim had walked behind the Manor Fields apartments in Surrey Road and was approached by a teenager on a metal scooter who attempted to grab her bag and push her to the floor. Another boy kept lookout as he continued to grapple with her for the bag.

The bag snapped and the offenders gave up, running off in the direction of Mote Park, carrying the scooter.
