Drugs and kitchen knife seized from car that collided with tree in Boughton Monchelsea police chase

Half a house brick, drugs and a kitchen knife were seized from a car that collided with a tree during a police chase.

On Saturday, March 5, at around 10.30pm, officers spotted a suspicious vehicle and followed it from Park Road in Boughton Monchelsea.

The Suzuki Grand Vitara failed to stop and was pursued by the unit until it collided with a tree in Lucks Lane, Chart Sutton.

One man was arrested at the scene, the other was followed on foot through woodland until he was caught.

The vehicle was searched and police found cannabis and a kitchen knife.

Officers also found half a house brick under the driver’s seat and discovered the car had false plates.

A 21-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance or a licence and whilst under the influence of drugs.

An 18-year-old man from Guildford was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis. Both have been released pending further investigation.
