A Kent windsurfer is among the first athletes to be confirmed in Team GB for the London Olympics.

Bryony Shaw, who lives in Tunbridge Wells, is one of 11 sailing competitors who have had their selection confirmed.

Shaw, who is in the RS X class, was a bronze medallist at the Beijing Olympics three years ago.

She followed that up with further success by taking silver at the World Cup in Weymouth in 2009 and going one better with gold in the same competition last year.
